Short version: we collect nothing.

Simple Gym is a workout tracker that runs entirely on your iPhone. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to anyone else. There are no user accounts, no logins, no analytics, and no servers — we have no infrastructure that could receive your data even if the app tried to send it.

What stays on your device

Your workouts, exercises, sets, personal records, notes, and settings are stored locally on your iPhone. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or enable iCloud backups.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, Simple Gym reads heart rate, active energy, resting heart rate, VO2 Max, date of birth, and biological sex from Apple Health to display workout analytics such as heart rate zones, training load, and calorie estimates. All of this is processed on your device. Simple Gym does not write data to Apple Health, and your health data is never transmitted off your device, stored on external servers, or shared with anyone. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing of any kind.

iCloud backups

If you enable automatic backups, your workout data is saved to your own private iCloud Drive container, which only you can access with your Apple Account. We have no servers and no access to your iCloud data.

Notifications

With your permission, Simple Gym schedules local notifications on your device (for example, when a rest timer finishes). No notification data is sent anywhere.

What we don't collect

Children's privacy

Simple Gym does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects nothing at all, there is no data that could be associated with a child.

Contacting us

If you email us at [email protected], we will only use that email address to reply to your message. We do not store your email in any database, share it with anyone, or use it for marketing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date above. The app itself will continue to behave as described regardless — we have no way to start collecting data without shipping a new app version, which Apple reviews.
